Dr. Shanbin Shi joined the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) as an Assistant Professor in 2018. Prior to joining RPI, Dr. Shi was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor from January 2017 to August 2018. Dr. Shi worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nuclear Engineering Program at The Ohio State University from September 2015 to December 2016. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Thermal Engineering from the Southeast University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, respectively; and a Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering at Purdue University.
