The project entitled “Atomic-scale to Meso-scale Simulation Studies of Thermal Ageing and Irradiation Effects in Fe-Cr Alloys,” led by Professor Emily Liu, in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering (MANE), and her collaborators at Boston University and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, receives Nuclear Energy University Programs (NEUP) award from the Department of Energy (DOE).

This week, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will co-host the 2012 Haas Technical Education Center (HTEC) Manufacturing Conference. Now in its sixth year, the event is attended by K-12 and university instructors from North America and aims to strengthen manufacturing education.
During the two weeks from June 11th to June 21st, graduate student Rian Bahran attended the Modeling Experimentation and Validation (MeV) School and Advanced Test Reactor National Scientific User Facility Users Week 2012 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Idaho National Laboratory.
