Shannon Brown, a student-athlete swimmer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), has been recognized by the Liberty League as one of its weekly award winners.

In the RPI Kumpf Invitational, Shannon helped the Engineers to a second-place team finish out of five teams by collecting three victories. Individually, she had top finishes in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:12.04 – over two full seconds over second place – and she took the top spot in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 54.07. She also swam on the first-place 400 medley relay team, taking the anchor leg as the group finished at 4:02.14 – almost seven full seconds over the second-place team.
