Rensselaer Motorsport has had a successful season. The team competed in a recent event at Michigan International Speedway. They competed against 93 other electric vehicles using RM29, the team's newest vehicle.
Melvina Quartey, a fourth-year PhD student in aerospace engineering at RPI, conducts research in Dr. Lucy Zhang’s lab, where she develops quantum computing methods for computational fluid dynamics to improve simulation efficiency. Quartey was drawn to RPI for its strong aerospace program and supportive community. Alongside her research, Quartey is an active student leader and remains focused on using her work to solve real-world engineering challenges.

The upcoming mission will have four astronauts orbiting the Moon in the Orion spacecraft for ten days. Artemis II will be the first full test of the deep-space exploration system that NASA has created with a full crew on board.

Congratulations to Brendan McGrew (Mechanical Engineering '28, Navy ROTC scholarship Midshipman) who won first prize in the midshipmen and cadets category of the 2025 Chief of Naval Operations Naval History Essay Contest for his piece, Hollow Navy: A Defensive Force with Little to Defend.
