Rensselaer Motorsport has had a successful season. The team competed in a recent event at Michigan International Speedway. They competed against 93 other electric vehicles using RM29, the team's newest vehicle.
Rensselaer Motorsport achieved 21st place overall and secured 2nd in the efficiency category, marking an impressive improvement from the previous year! This year was also significant as it was the first time the team passed all technical inspections since transitioning to electric vehicles in 2023. Additionally, the team completed all dynamic events, including the 22km endurance race, which had not been accomplished since 2018.
Rensselaer Motorsport has had an outstanding season! In addition to their success at Michigan International Speedway, the team also achieved fifth place overall at the Formula Hybrid + Electric competition. This impressive performance put Rensselaer above historically competitive teams like MIT, Waterloo, Northeastern, and WPI.
Throughout the season, the team garnered several prestigious awards, including the Scrutineer's Award for being the most prepared for mechanical inspection, the Test Equity Award for readiness in electrical inspection, and the IEEE Engineering the Future Award for excellence in engineering and testing. Their achievements reflect remarkable growth and dedication! Rensselaer Motorsport has had a great year, and next year will be even better!
