Dr. Peter Caracappa has been recognized with a Presidential Citation by the American Nuclear Society for his contributions to the media response to the nuclear accident in Fukushima, Japan. Dr. Caracappa participated in interviews with numerous outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, AP, Reuters, Scientific American, PBS Newshour, and National Public Radio.
He has also been appointed to the ANS Special Committee on the Fukushima Accident sub-committee for radiation and health effects.
