The National Science Foundation has awarded a three-year $650,000 grant to two Rensselaer professors to develop Geo Explorer, a game that will allow engineering students to inspect, design, and test flood protection systems virtually.
Professor Juergen Hahn has received a $2 million NIH grant to investigate the use of transplanted regulatory T cells (Tregs) in reducing inflammation in diseases like inflammatory bowel disease, which currently has no known viable treatment options. 
Rensselaer will host the New York Tech Valley FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition from Mar. 19-21.
