Forward-thinking mechanical engineering professionals and recent graduates with 2-3 years of work experience should consider pursuing a Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. Through the Rensselaer Advanced Professional Studies (APS) program, working professionals can complete their degree in an average of three and a half years. Using a blended approach of online and traditional classes, students can continue their career while pursuing their graduate degree with concentrations in Energy, Mechanics, or Design and Manufacturing.

  • 30 credits – completed in three and a half years of part-time study
  • Low-residency, blended learning approach
  • Significant online instruction and in-person class meetings every 2-3 weeks
  • Face-to-face instruction takes place in Troy, NY, and Hartford and Groton, CT
